how it all began… (bio)

how it all began> dj’ing> crews IT all started in 98-99 when I was able to save up some cash and split the mighty fine awesome gemini mixmaster package with a friend. this package featured 2 gemini xl-500 turntables that featured the ever so cool pitch bend button, along with those tables came a 2 channel “skratch” mixer, shure 35c needles, and the infamous turntable workshop vol. 1 vhs.
AFTER a few months of experimenting with music, and having your typical skratch/ mix “sessions” with friends, it was time to name the crew and rep it at school, we decided to call the crew “2NDimension” which was consisted of gyrex, josh, and alvin… it was time for the first gig… in the summer of 99′ came the first house party to be dj’ed. it was time to the get the crowd going… equipped with only a crate of records, house speakers and a amp. a few hours later we foudn to be successful. that night we also met fellow aspiring dj’s cromwelld, raymond, and ed.
SO the crew grew larger, since they were all about a grade apart we targeted a larger range at the local high school. you would see the 2ndimension dj crew dj’ing at your weekly house parties, the typical lunchtime on the green, and even school dances.
AS the name got bigger, we later found out supposedly there was another crew in the san jose area with the same name (which was never confirmed), sometime in 2000 the crew also picked up 2 more dj’s in eufro and albert. the crew just decided to change the name so no funk would be started. the homies got together and brainstormed… hours later the homies made up the name “rekidje” which somehow consisted of all the crew members name is some bizaare way. we later on decided to scrap that name and somehow ended up with “prolific”.
IN 2001, you can catch the prolificdjs dj’ing somekind of party every week. wether it be a house party, wedding, cotillion, school dance, barmitzfah, you name it… eventually the crew broke off into 2 groups both reppin’ the prolific name though…
IT was now september of 2001, it was time for the long awaited senior year. after years of waiting it was the last year of high school for gyrex, albert, and eufro. all still in the crew reppin’ the prolific name and still doin’ parties rockin’ the dancefloors… as the year went by the 2 crews within started doin’ there own thing. in the summer of 2002 i decided to break off from the name and start my own thing along with other members of the crew.
A few years gone by, with your typical party here and there. I decided to take it to a new level. After joining the Wyld Kardz crew sometime in 2004. I decided to experiment with the whole online radio thing. It started up in september of 2005, lasted a good few months until my schedule got all whacked out due to school and work. Our last official broadcast was probably sometime in febuary. Although keep it locked the next couple months for a comeback…
SO now you pretty much you know the history of how it all started from my point of view. you can still catch myself and albert doin’ the whole mobile thing reppin the wyld kardz name… to be continued…
